Bengaluru: Yeddyurappa in Kerala for much-needed rest, rejuvenation

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Dec 1: State BJP president, B S Yeddyurappa, who was relentlessly on the move since the last several weeks, has gone to Kerala to take rest of a few days.

Yeddyurappa was busy with state assembly election, developments taking place after declaration of result, bypoll and several political upheavals which happened in the state thereafter. As he feels tired and wanted to rejuvenate himself in order to take on the government during the Belagavi assembly session, he has decided to take rest for a few days.

Yeddyurappa is sure that if he stays either in Bengaluru or Shivamogga, one or the other leaders, workers, and others keep meeting him and the very purpose of getting rest gets defeated. Therefore he has chosen Kerala as destination for rest and recuperation.

Yeddyurappa will be back for the beginning session of the state assembly at Belagavi on December 10. On that day, BJP has planned a mega protest.

Discordant notes

In the meantime, within the BJP there were some rumblings. It is said that certain leaders are unhappy that they were not allowed to speak at a programme organized at National High school ground, Basavanagudi, on Thursday for paying tributes to departed leader and union minister, Ananth Kumar. But a state BJP leader said that leaders who were given opportunity to speak at the post funeral 'Vaikunta Samaradhane' of Kumar were not allowed to speak again on Thursday, and there is nothing to hide. For this reason, Sadananda Gowda did not get an opportunity to speak on Thursday again, he clarified.
