Bengaluru: Film City at Mysuru - CM Kumaraswamy clarifies stand

Bengaluru, Dec 1: There had been rumours that the Film City is being shifted from Mysuru to Ramanagara at the instance of the chief minister. This had paved way for rumours and heartburn.

Now, the chief minister, by announcing that Film City would be set up at Mysuru itself, and that film university would be started at Ramanagara, has put to rest to these rumours.

 

 

 

Speaking at a pogramme for paying tributes to departed actor-cum-politician, M H Ambareesh, Kumaraswamy said that Siddaramaiah had armarked hundreds of acres of land in Mysuru for setting up film city. He said that the film city will come up at the place earmarked for it. He clarified that film university would however be started at Ramanagara to enable young people to study technical subjects relating to films.
