Misty Delhi morning, air quality 'very poor'


New Delhi, Dec 3 (IANS): The national capital on Monday witnessed a misty morning with 'very poor' air quality and the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.6 degrees Celsius, the season's average, the Met said.

"There was mist in the morning. The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was at 90 per cent. The sky will remain clear with no chances of rainfall," an Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the overall air quality of the national capital was recorded in 'very poor' category.

The day's maximum temperature was likely to hover around 28 degrees Celsius.

On Sunday, the maximum temperature recorded in the city was 28.1 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature remained at 9 degrees Celsius, the season's average.
