Prohibitory orders clamped in Ghaziabad


Ghaziabad, Dec 3 (IANS): Prohibitory orders banning the assembly of five or more people have been imposed in Ghaziabad district effective from Tuesday.

District Magistrate Ritu Maheswari said the step had been taken in view of the Chaudhary Charan Singh Jayanti, Christmas, government examinations and ongoing farmer protests.

Under the regulations, no one can play loud speaker from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The licensed arms also cannot be carried in public except by government officers on duty.
