Woman politician escapes assassination bid

Imphal, Dec 5 (IANS): Gita Haobijam, General Secretary of the Manipur People's Party (MPP), escaped an assassination attempt on Tuesday night, police said on Wednesday.

Though the front of her house was riddled with bullets, no one was injured. Police have registered a case.
