Nobody can stop BJP from carrying out 'rath yatras' in Bengal: Amit Shah

New Delhi, Dec 7 (PTI): BJP president Amit Shah on Friday said that the party will "definitely" carry out 'yatras' in West Bengal and "nobody can stop it" from doing so.

His comments came a day after the Calcutta High Court refused the BJP permission to hold a 'rath yatra' in Coochbehar, following the state government expressing apprehensions of violence.

"We will definitely carry out all 'yatras', nobody can stop us. BJP committed to change in West Bengal. The 'yatras' have not been cancelled, just postponed," Amit Shah said at a press conference.

Mounting a scathing attack against the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government, he also alleged that the state leads in the number of political killings in the country.

"The entire West Bengal administration is working for the ruling TMC," he added.

After the poll results are out on 11 december, Amit Shah and Modi will put an end to all their Yatras as people would have given a resounding reply shunning their attempts to polarise and divide the people. The exit polls indicate the exit of the BJP for their Jhumla Politics and indulging in lies and falsehoods to mislead the people. Their Governance has been a total failure on all fronts causing untold misery to all sections of our society. The country is yearning for a change and earlier the better. It will be good riddance to bad rubbish once a new Govt is installed in the centre.

Desh Ko Bachao. Modi Sarkar Ko Hatao.

Arrogancy never lasts long. Kind of attitude making opposition's job easy for up comming polls.
He proved today he is a genuine Daku, although his party leaders are often violating the norms of constitution which is indeed a threat to the integrity of the nation and also one of core reasons that the party's defeat in 5 states ( as per the exit poll predictions ), which might also impact them in 2019 .

"Yatras" are the concern of religious leaders. Why political leaders like Amit Shah should bother about yatras. A road show shall suffice for political campaigning. The courts should prohibit political parties carrying religious symbols, or raths for their campaigning or propaganda. Their processions should be called "road shows".
