Ex-militant killed in Manipur

Imphal, Dec 8 (IANS): A former member of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), who had laid down arms last year, was gunned down in Manipur here early on Saturday, police said.

S. Modhuchandra, 44, was killed at 6.30 a.m., when he was out for a morning walk near his house. His body was riddled with bullets. The assailants managed to escape.
