Nobody needs Rahul Gandhi's advice, says Minister

New Delhi, Dec 19 (IANS): Reacting to Congress President Rahul Gandhi's jibe that it was time for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to wake up on farmers issues, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Wednesday said nobody needs Gandhi's advice.

"The reforms for farmers that have taken place under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi are historic. He has ensured that farmers are insured from seed to the market and get better facilities. Therefore, Rahul need not advice us," Tomar said outside Parliament.

He said that wins and losses were part of the game in a democracy and one should not go overboard in victory.

"The whole country knows that the Prime Minister keeps awake while Rahul Gandhi sleeps," Tomar, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, said.

After the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) governments in Assam and Gujarat announced waiver of farm loans and rural electricity bills, respectively, the Congress chief on Wednesday said it was now time for "sleeping" PM Modi to wake up.

Gandhi claimed both states made the move under pressure from the Congress, which immediately after forming governments in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh waived farm loans delivering on its pre-poll promise.

"The Congress party has managed to awaken the Chief Ministers of Assam and Gujarat from their deep slumber. Prime Minister is still asleep. We will wake him up, too," tweeted Gandhi.

While the BJP-led government in Gujarat on Tuesday announced it will waive electricity bills in rural areas, in Assam on Monday it approved a Rs 600-crore farm loan waiver.

Gandhi's latest attack comes a day after he vowed that the Congress and other opposition parties would not let Modi sleep until all farm loans were waived.

    Narendra Singh Tomar:

Don’t you like to learn from each other? Stop criticizing opposition party for their initiative to keep up the pledge Congress made before the assembly election. Rahul’s expression to ask the other state governments to wake up is a good gesture and appreciate it. Together you can help the farmers by following the lead given by Congress!!

Tomar, remind Narendra Modi of the several promises he made before 2014 elections. Where’s the 15 lac credit in every bank account ; crores of jobs to the young people , bringing back all black money etc etc.. Are your sleeping over your promises?? Wake up!! Keep up your promises. Can you also account for the money spent on Modi’s travels to foreign countries and also the expenses made by BJP for elections,, rallies and paid media propaganda with one objective of winning 89elections!!!

Wake up and start working on keeping up old promises before making new promises. Remember voters understand your gimmicks!!

Let’s learn from each other for India .

India has never had such an incompetent Govt. Indulging in falsehoods cannot change the ground situation. High time there is a change in the Govt at the centre. earlier the better. It will be good riddance to bad rubbish.

This Govt needs advice from one and all becoz they are a total flop

But copying and implementing congress initiatives and projects and labelling as BJP's own is following Rahul Gandhi's advice in action.
