Mumbai, Dec 14:
The third annual day celebrations of Mulund Bunts popularly known as Guttinamane Bunts of metro, was held on Saturday December 13 evening, at Kaviratna Kalidas auditorium, Mulund (West), here, on the stage set by traditional Tulunadu Guttu style.

The function was presided over by entrepreneur Nagriguttu Vivek Shetty.  Abu Dhabi New Medical Centre managing director B R Shetty was the chief guest on the occasion.  Matraabhoomi Co-Operative Credit Society president Ajekar Shivaram G Shetty was the guest of honour.

B R Shetty, speaking at the launch of Mulund Bunts website www.mulundbunts.com  said that Mulund Bunts objectives are ideal to new generation of Bunts youth, since they have united thousands of Bunts families under one organization, in order to preserve the distinct age old culture.

I totally endorse the views of Mr. B.R.Shetty that instead of awarding scholarships to community students we should extend them educational loans. Further, it is very true that when these students repay such loans over a period of time, it would indeed encourage them to develop their bond with the organization. I know Mr. Shetty from Abu Dhabi personally. He has great novel ideas. Keep it up Mr. Shetty.

BRS should talk of - Part Scholorship and Part Education Loan (40%/60%). Many Universities in USA,Canada,UK offer Scholorship. My Brother in Law is doing LLM in Boston University and 1/3rd was Scholorship and 2/3rd was Fees Payment. It is very Surprising in India many of the Private Educational Institution have become commercial and self centered. All Rules and Regulations are flouted including Supreme Court Judgements only to achieve their Goal "MONEY". The Nursery Admission in Delhi Published by the Media a few days back is an example. Just as Freedom is our Birth Right in the same Way Education should be made the Birth Right for every Individual.

suggestion by Mr B R shetty is commendable.Community should look in to this matter seriously try to implement the support scheme through financial institutions,so that economically weaker sections of the bunt community can dream of getting higher education.it will help the community in long run in sustaining the equality of status.
