Shahjahanpur, Dec 21 (PTI): Police on Friday said that they have ordered a probe after Hindu outfits Jagran Manch and the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha submitted a complaint alleging that disrespect was shown to the national flag during the Muslim celebration of Julus-e-Gausia on December 19 night.

The event took place in Shahjahanapur's Puranpur area in Uttar Pradesh.

According to the complaint, instead of the Ashoka Chakra in the middle of the flag, photo of a mosque was put up which, the Hindu groups allege, amounts to showing disrespect to the national flag.

Superintendent of Police Balendu Bhushan Singh said the matter was being probed and action will be taken if anyone is found guilty.

    In 2014, following the Bharatiya Janata Party's rise to power, the Hindu Mahasabha began attempts to rehabilitate Godse and portray him as a patriot. It requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to install the bust of Godse. It created a documentary film Desh Bhakt Nathuram Godse (Patriot Nathuram Godse) for release on the death anniversary of Gandhi on 30 January 2015. There were attempts to build a temple for Godse and to celebrate 30 January as a Shaurya Diwas ("Bravery Day"). A civil suit was filed in Pune Court asking for a ban on the documentary film.
    While not exactly loyal to the British Raj, the Hindu Mahasabha did not actively support the Indian freedom movement against British rule in India. Under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, the Congress-led several nationwide campaigns of non-violent civil disobedience. The Mahasabha officially abstained from participating in the Civil Disobedience Movement of 1930, which tarnished its image at a national level in India.
    In March 1943, Sindh Government became the first Provincial Assembly of the sub-continent to pass an official resolution in favor of the creation of Pakistan. They formed an alliance with Alliance with Pakistan founder of Muslim League in Sindh, Bengal and North West Frontier.
    This the reality of the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha patriotism. They will never respect Father of nation Mahatma Gandhi.
    It was in July 1947 that the Constituent Assembly of Independent India deliberated on the issue of the National Flag of the country and adopted the Tricolour as the national Flag. However, RSS under the leadership of M. S. Golwalkar refused to accept as one.
    Ask Mahasabha leaders of now chant M.S. Golwalkar 'Murdaba'for his stand on Indian national flag the true colors will be exposed.

    One who disrespects a National flag or show with other symbol disrespects his Nation and self.It is a serious crime and should be punished.One has to know where is his origin what he does.

    All started after 2014. BJP is writer, director and producer of this drama. Even in JNU, BJP members were seen in video shouting anti Indian slogans and blamed Dalits and minorities. A head of a cow was kept inside a temple in Mangalore by BJP and pointed fingers at Muslims. A Christian drunkard destitute was made to vandalize churches by BJP and blamed disgruntled christians. Faking and drama is BJP's development.

    Can you first probe a Hindu Subodh Kumar Singh's death???. PM Modi is not uttering a single word regarding this honest and brave public servant, Why?????. Before any other probe we need probe on Modi's silence.
