Udupi: Parked car catches fire due to short circuit, charred to ashes

Udupi, Dec 23: A parked tourist car near a hotel here caught fire on Sunday, December 23, early morning.

The car belongs to a person named Ganesh from Bidar. Short circuit was the cause of the fire.

The tourists who had been Udupi in the car had stayed in the hotel when the incident occurred. The driver, who had slept inside the car, noticed fire at the rear end. Immediately he tried to douse the fire and also informed the fire service.

However the car was charred to ashes in few minutes when the fire personnel arrived at the spot.
