Mangaluru, Dec 29: MLC Ivan D'Souza said,"The projects from the central government to the district of Dakshina Kannada (DK) have failed utterly."

Addressing the media here on Saturday, December 29, Ivan further continued by saying, "MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, being in a responsible position, has given only assurances but not delivered on time. The works of upgrading and making world class railway station has still not got underway. Nalin had assured to complete Thokkotu and Pumpwell flyover in December but the work is still going on at slow pace and I think it needs another 20 years to complete the flyover."

"During the recently concluded 10-day winter session at Belagavi, I was able to ask 50 questions among which six where starred questions, which means that will be debated and the results will be given in the sessions," Ivan added.

Ivan D'Souza said, "I have asked questions related to Kasturi Rangan report which will be implemented in 40 villages in three taluks of Puttur, Belthangady and Sullia. But there was total opposition for Kasturi Rangan report as this area is a eco-sensitive zone and the Kasturi Rangan report will not be implemented in the district. I have asked questions pertaining to sand, arecanut growers, privatization of airport, which got positive results during the session."
