Ballary, Dec 29: BJP leaders are doing 'Operation Kamala' behind the scenes to bring down the coalition government in the state. However, leaders of the Congress party have gone a step ahead and are showing the BJP the taste of their own medicine by conducting 'Operation BJP'.

If the mining baron and former minister Janardhan Reddy and MLA Sriramulu are trying for Opeation Kamala against the Congress party, the Congress leaders have hatched a plot to retaliate and rebuke the attempt of MLA Sriramulu.

The Congress men have tossed the bait to the BJP members of zilla panchayat of the district in a bid to wrest the power from BJP which is ruling the zilla panchayat. The Congress is planning to move a no-confidence motion against the BJP president of the zilla panchayat itself. In the Zilla panchayat of the district which has a strenght of 40, 22 are BJP members and 18 are from the Congress.

However, six members of the BJP party have revolted against the party and have worked for Congress in the recently held assembly elections as well as the bye elections for Lok Sabha.

The president of the zilla panchayat is the wife of a close aide of former minister Janardhan Reddy and the vice-president is the wife of a close friend of MLA Sriramulu. So the BJP members are planning to move a no-confidence motion against these people who are in the good books of the mining baron. 15 BJP members out of the 22, have already held a meeting in this regard to bring down the president and vice-president. When Deena Manjunath, vice-president of the zilla panchayat was questioned on this move of her party members, she replied that the issue is brought to the notice of the party high command.

Only time will tell whether 'Operation Congress' hatched to finish BJP in Ballary will be a success or not.
