Mangaluru, Dec 31: Well-known Konkani writer, Professor of Orthopedics at Fr Muller Medical College Hospital, Dr Edward L. Nazareth, known to Daijiworld readers through his popular health- related question and answer column 'Ask Doctor', has come out with his autobiography on his 60th birthday.

The souvenir titled 'Vazara Dhenne' (Diamond Talent) was released by Fr Mark Walder, former editor of ‘Raknno’ Konkani weekly and senior priest of Mangaluru diocese on December 28. The occasion was the wedding reception function of his Dr Edward Nazareth’s son Naveen Nazareth.

The souvenir contains articles on Dr Edward Nazareth by various community leaders and well-wishers, family members and friends of Dr Edward in the first part. The second part is written by Dr Edward Nazareth about his life journey.

Walter Nandalike, founder of Daijiworld raised the toast and hailed Dr Edward. He said Dr Nazareth is a valuable asset not only to a community, but to entire society, as he has rendered service to the people of all castes, religions and languages. “Dr Edward's simplicity, humbleness, hard work, commitment and especially humanitarian values earned him an enormous number of fans throughout the world. Today, he has been blessed with good family, successful career, and very respectable position in society because of his good deeds,” Walter said.

Walter remembered Dr Nazareth’s commitment to Daijiworld as he answered over 5000 questions on various health issues raised by readers from around the globe through 'Ask Doctor' column which continued for 15 long years. He made special mention of his wife Dr Nelly Nazareth who is well-known eye specialist and great woman behind the success of Dr Edward Nazareth.

All the family members of Dr Edward Nazareth, his wife Dr Nelly Nazareth, newly-married son Dr Nithin with Dr Trina, Just married Naveen with Melita and daughter Neetha were present on the occasion.
