Mangaluru: Ravikanthe Gowda transferred, Laxmi Prasad appointed SP

Mangaluru, Dec 31: Superintendent of police (SP) of Dakshina Kannada district Dr B R Ravikanthe Gowda has been transferred.

The state government on Monday, December 31, issued orders in this regard.

Dr B R Ravikanthe Gowda, who had taken charge as SP of Dakshina Kannada in January 2018, has been promoted and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Police Fire Services, Bengaluru.

IPS officer B M Laxmi Prasad, who is presently the SP, Internal Security Division (CCT-Gentre for Counter Terrorism) Bengaluru, has been appointed the new SP of Dakshina Kannada.

    Dr B R Ravikanthe Gowda has all along been a fine officer. In his going away from Mangalore is a loss to the people of Mangalore. Of course he is leaving on promotion and he goes with the good wishes and blessings from the people of Mangalore.

    I will personally be missing this great man

    Ravikanthe Gowda has done good job in last one year. any how transferred on promotion. Good luck sir . Mean while welcome to Laxmi Prasad sir ,our new incoming SP.
