Celebrations galore: Mangaluru welcomes New Year in grand style

Mangaluru, Jan 1: The year 2018 concluded on a grand note in the city with celebrations in every nook and corner. New Year's Eve gala 'Phoenix - 2019' at Gold Finch city, held on Monday, December 31 here, organized by Bhandary Builders was one of the best events of the night.

Scores of people witnessed the New Year celebration 'Phoenix 2019' which is the first of its kind in this city.

International host, MTV Roadies fame, DJ Nikhil Chinnapa enthralled the audience with his performance and music at the event.



The event consisted of playback singing, laser show, performance from international artists, kid’s entertainment zone and games along with unlimited music.

This was the biggest New Year party in the city that was held on a spacious ground of Gold Finch City.

There was a special play area for kids to have fun, which was secured with all safety feaures, so that families could spend their time at the party leaving their children at Kids play area.

Nikhil Chinnappa performed live in front of the huge crowd and mesmerized them with his incredible music, the best ever witnessed in the city.

The winner of Zee Kannada - Sa re ga ma pa and the voice of Bangalore reality, Supriya Lohith performed live. She has lent her voice to Namaste Madam, Rose, Ganganchukki and lots more. In addition, Ajay Warrier joined Supriya Lohith and sung Kannada and Hindi tracks. Even Laila, belly dancer from Russia entertained the crowd.

The New Year eve concluded with fireworks. Sahill Zaheer and Soujanya Hegde compered the event.

Along with Bhandary Builders the event was powered by Deeya Corporators, Iniha Wine Mart and Right Angle Properties.

    The season of Xmas as well as the New Year that we were fortunate to enjoy in Mangalore this year was a season that we shall remember a long way to come. It was a season of celebrations in the Churches, in the busy streets as well as in the Malls and Restaurants. It was a season to witness the tremendous growth and progress in and around Mangalore where the youth knew how to enjoy the best of the season with pomp and glory. The churches were filled with worshippers that joined the melodious choir with one voice added with best of instruments and best of hymns in different languages. It was a colorful occasion for every church who gave the very best to their people and thank God for all the graces offered during the festive season.

    Xmas and New Year festivals were also celebrated in a grand scale in various Hotels, Restaurants, Country Clubs and even in churches. It was a season of fulfillment where families got together and made the communities lively and cheerful. The youth of Mangalore are well educated and well organized. The youth know their duty towards all the disciplines attached to orderliness and moderation, and as a result each and every event of the season was well conducted and well concluded with no abnormal misbehavior. The entire season of Xmas and New Year was well organized, and the City of Mangalore, the "smart City" gave the very best to the people - young and old of all the faiths and cultures.

    What a joy to be in Mangalore during this festive season and give the very best of your presence and company to all your dear and near ones and go back to where you belong and share with many others the joyful feelings of Xmas filled with peace and harmony of the season.
