Bengaluru, Jan 1: In an incident, similar to the infamous sexual harassment of a girl in 2017 on the New Year's Eve celebration in the city, a couple of Bihar origin, who were returning home on bike, were molested by three youngsters.

This ugly act has occurred in the Silicon City area of the city. The couple was returning home after partaking in the New Year's Eve celebration at M G Road.

The miscreants attacked the couple, who is residing at Jayanagar in the city, and snatched mobile phone and wallet and assaulted the husband. In addition, the hooligans groped the wife of the victim in his presence itself.

The couple was attacked near the Richmond Circle. This incident was brought to the notice of the patrol police by the husband when they were passing by the spot of the heinous act.

As the molesters saw the police approaching, they tried to escape. However, the police were able to apprehend one of the gang members.

A case stands registered in this regard in the Ashoknagar police station and police are on the search for the two absconding culprits.
