Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Jan 2: Some people threw stones at buses and vehicles returning after taking part in the 'women's wall' movement sponsored by the government in the district on the evening of Tuesday January 1. In this incident, four persons suffered injuries.

The condition of two women among the injured is said to be serious. There are allegations that BJP and Sangh Parivar activists indulged in stone pelting.

Women's wall programme

When the miscreants hurled stones at a bus that was going to Angadimogaru from the town at Kudreppady, Avjabi (35) from Puthige Kandal, and Saraswati from Puthige suffered serious injuries. Both of them were admitted into a hospital at Mangaluru. Two others, Bindu (36) from Puthige and P M Abbas (45) from Perladka, whose nature of injuries is not too serious, were admitted into the general hospital here.

It is learnt that both Saraswati and Avjabi suffered serious injuries in their heads.

At the same time, repots said that some hooligans tried to disturb the women's wall programme at Chetukundu. Stones were thrown at people coming to take part in this programme. On this occasion, friction happened between CPM and BJP activists. The police who rushed to the spot burst teargas shells and caned the warring groups. When this did not succeed in achieving the objective, they fired four rounds in the air. Some policemen and activists of BJP and CPM were injured in stone pelting. Some reporters were also attacked, and cameras of two private television channels were damaged.

Reports also said that the miscreants tried to create obstacles in the women's wall programme by setting grass and shrubs grown on either side of the road on fire at Chetukundu on which women's wall was to be erected. As a result, thick smoke enveloped the area.

The police have taken precautionary measures against escalation of tension. They have also registered case against 200 persons.

Throwing cow head in the temple, dead pig carcass in Mosque, damaging Christian cross, shouting slogans in Muslim dominated areas, forcing 'Jandha Divas' and stone pelting is the most recognize practice of BJP-RSS to woo voters to create communal tension is not new.

Now with the demise of a senior IUML leader, Cherkalam Abdullah four-time MLA from Manjeswaram in Kasaragod district BJP is desperately trying to create an entry in Kasargod to enter Kerala to spread their communal agenda to win Lok Sabha elections.

So stone pelting is part of the program to incite communal violence which a numerous number of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh volunteers.

This is the reason Prime Minister Modi to Amit Shah wanted to stop in Kasargod every time they visit to Kerala.

No Doubt that this is the frustration of the BJP and the RSS at the tight slap on their face by the women in Kerala to their bias against women and contempt towards gender equality.

After all their mindset is medivial with stone age thinking. They refuse to be progressive and modern in their outlook. High time the people discard such organisations.

Oh Lord please see from above how BJP hates women. Have mercy on the humanity suffering under BJP rule.

In the past there have been several instances which have made me conclude this. More recent one being the Bihar Shelter Home incident by a BJP rep. Now pelting stones at women participating in a program.

How low can these people get!!

I agree Muslim women shall not poke their nose and unnecessarily interfere in such matters...But
Just wearing Burqa doesn't make women Muslim.
In this Fekugiri time any one can wear burqa to put the blame on another person.

@D.Shetty mangalore, nothing is funny here dear Mr.?shetty.one shouldnt come to conclusion that Burka wearer is a muslim woman.I bet thats the person was wearing burka to hide her identitaet ,and not a muslim woman. They dont comeout to protests other than their own religion interests.Whoever it is ,stone pelting on women is absolutely below ones niveu.such cowards should better stay at home behind their mothers Pallow.shame on them.men should respect their own women and also other women.Afterall their own mum too is a woman.so boys or men ,please dont do such work in future.who will lookafter their small kids suppose these injured person s cant work any more or die(Hope not)?are you going to lookafter them?So be careful in future. You dont gain with it anything.
