Kundapur: Rider killed in Gangolli as lorry hits bike

Kundapur, Jan 2: A seriously injured bike rider died after his bike was hit from behind by a lorry at Jamia Mohalla, Gangolli on Kundapur main road on Wednesday, January 2.

Gangolli resident Guruprasad Poojary (28) from Gangolli is the deceased person.

Guruprasad was thrown to the road and sustained serious injuries to his head after the lorry hit his bike. He was rushed to the hospital, but he died without responding to treatment.

Guruprasad was a hotel employee in Bengaluru and had come home on leave ten days ago.

A case stands registered in Gangolli police station.

    After paying lip service the issue is closed till another occurs. The administration (all over the country) is oblivious to such situations and prefer not to act. Proactive steps may not result in 100% reduction of accidents/incidents, but will surely save many lives.
    Till what count will the administration keep their eyes closed?

    May His soul rest in peace, Heartfelt sympathies to the family.

    So many issues like these are every day issues in our highways and our region. Request all youngsters to opt for public transport and do not ride on the highways with 100cc bikes.
