Mangaluru: Ayyappa Swami association condemns women’s entry into Sabarimala temple

Mangaluru Jan 2: Sabarimala Sri Ayyappa Swami Bhaktha Vrunda Mangaluru condemned two women below the age of 50 entering in to Sabarimala temple in Kerala.

Addressing media here on Wednesday, January 2, Ayyappa devotee Ganesh Podhuval said, "With the clear intension of hurting Hindu sentiments, Pinarayi Vijayan led Kerala government made way for those two women in entering Sabarimala temple.”

"The Supreme Court has passed the verdict that women of all age groups can enter the temple. Kerala government was in urgency to implement the Supreme Court’s order and were adamant to send women inside the temple.

"The Supreme Court’s decision over Sabarimala is not right which is injustice to Hindu community and conspiracy hatched by atheists. Close to 8 lac people gathered during the Ayyappa Jyothi ritual at the temple and stood in favour of Sabarimala tradition in the communist dominated state. The government sponsored ‘Wall of Women’ programme did not get enough support as they expected which shocked the government. Hence, the government itself has sent those two women into the temple. This move will hurt the government in the coming days.

Kerala former chief minister V S Achyuthanand has stated that the government has taken wrong step in the Sabarimala row which will lead to the downfall of Pinarayi Vijayan government, which will soon turn into reality. “Pinarayi Vijayan’s government will be the last CPI-M government in Kerala,” said Ganesh Podhuval.

Ayyappa devotee Sharath said, "We will support the protest against Pinarayi Vijayan on January 3.”

Well said. Menstruation is a natural process. This is the mentality of the male dominated society. I appreciate our country's Supreme Court judgement.

Woman also has the right worship God. She is also a human being just like a man. But i don't understand why woman is not allowed to enter the holy places just because she gets menstrual periods ??

Does god say that they shouldn't enter or pray to him? ? No !! This is done by the human being .
Without a woman can a man give birth to human being ?? No !! Man needs her as a mother, a sister, a wife and a daughter.. !!

A woman tolerates hours of severe pain and difficulties to bring a life into the world. The supreme court has given justice to woman . Let man understand this ! Poor society :-(

There are some beliefs which are not in fact gender discriminatory. There are other temples and even Ayyappa temples, but in Shabarimala, women between 10 to 50 years of age are not allowed.

Science over rules age old traditions like impure and unholy which is why Supreme Court favors women folks. Blame it on Western Science , Technology and their Medical system. Women's period is natural and child bearing is gift of god according to science.

If you believe in your God, then you will agree that the God has shown devotees the way to the temple as one cannot go against his will.
