New Delhi, Jan 10 (IANS):  Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in a hurry to sack Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) chief Alok Verma, fearing a probe into the Rafale fighter aircraft deal.

"Why is the Prime Minister in such a tearing hurry to sack the CBI chief? Why will he not allow the CBI chief to present his case in front of the selection committee? Answer: Rafale," he tweeted.

Expressing his happiness over the Supreme Court reinstating Verma as CBI Director, who he claimed was to start a probe into the Rafale deal, Gandhi had on Tuesday had said: "Nothing can save Prime Minister Narendra Modi form Rafale".

    30000 Crores total offset contract -72 companies along with Ambani will get contract.
    Out of that 50% share will be dassault. 30000/72=416 crores*50%=
    Rs 208 Crores maximum is the deal for Ambani. Out of this assume the post tax profit margin is 10% =20 Crores. Maximum he can pay bribe is 20 crores even if he gives the entire profit as bribes.
    Where is this 130000 crores scam.Please explain me the so called scam..please please

    BJP has already lost in semifinals (4 state assembly elections)
    That is clear indication of the out come in coming LS elections too.
    It is not only congress lovers but Modi hatevers strength is increasing

    He (a dictator) was giving lecture boasting that we got a woman defense minister who is responsible for the security of 120 crore people and people must respect her.

    There is no justification for giving contract to Anil Ambani. No sane company will sign a contract with Anil Ambani whose companies are bankrupt , unless there is pressure from central govt.____ Modi cannot escape responsibility..

    WRONG! Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman the Defense Minister has already shot down Rafale so her boss need not worry.

    And as her boss rightly said: All 125 crore Indians must respect the female defense minister just as I respect my wife.
