Two soldiers injured in Pakistan firing on LoC


Jammu, Jan 10 (IANS): Two Indian soldiers were injured on Thursday in Pakistani firing on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district.

Defence Ministry spokesman Lt Col Devender Anand said: "The soldiers were injured in Balakote sector in unprovoked Pakistani firing.

"The soldiers were shifted to hospital for treatment. Our troops retaliated strongly."

Firing exchanges also occurred on Thursday between the Indian and Pakistani armies on the LoC in Poonch district.
