Siddaramaiah loses temper as woman raises issues in constituency

Mysuru, Jan 28 (IANS): Congress leader Siddaramaiah on Monday lost his temper at a public event in Mysuru when questioned by a woman about the issues faced by public in his son Yathindra's Varuna constituency in the district.

Visibly agitated by the woman's questioning, the former Chief Minister quickly snatched the microphone from her and along with it pulled a section of her 'dupatta' and forced her to sit down.

The incident took place at a public gathering in which Siddaramaiah took part along with his son Yathindra, a legislator from Varuna in the same district.

Speaking to the media later, the woman, Jamalar, said she was trying to point out to the Congress leader that the Revenue Department in the constituency was not functioning well and the legislator (Yathindra) was not reachable.

"I was trying to raise the issues being faced by public in the constituency and not being able to reach the MLA regarding them ... for which he got angry," Jamalar said.

Congress state unit president Dinesh Gundu Rao said Siddaramaiah got agitated as the woman was banging on the table.

"He was only asking for the microphone as he had to attend meetings later. There was no ill intention," Rao told a news channel.

It's a shame that such uncultured politicians are part of our political system.
If he cannot take tough questions he should gracefully accept his ignorance and incompetence ...which he demonstrates again and again.
Wonder how the public tolerated him for 5 years.
And his party cronies try to defend this character. He has no business to ask someone from the public to sit down when his kursi was puled from.his backside.
He better give up politics and go and rear sheep.

For women Karnataka, this is another sad day and lowest of dignity. In one hand Union Minister Anant Kumar stoop to such low levels as to bring in personal issues and another former Chief Minister Siddarmaiah loses temper and snatches microphone from Congress worker of the party.

Anantkumar Hegde is no new to controversies. From slapping a doctor to linking 'Islam with terrorism', Anant Kumar Hegde has always been in the news for all the wrong reasons. A few years ago, he commissioned a documentary about himself, titled “The Real Hindu”, to spread his own legend, in which one of his achievements is listed as the “ghar wapsi” of 300 Christian converts. He faced his first case of rioting, unlawful assembly and promoting enmity in 1993 during the Babri Masjid demolition when he was allegedly part of a rioting mob in Bhatkal. In 1994, he caught the attention of RSS by dodging prohibitory orders in Hubli, north Karnataka and raised the Tricolour flag at disputed Idgah Maidan on Independence Day.

The most recent of his remarks can be traced back to as early as the beginning of this month when he called Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah a “bootlicker”. In December 2017, Hegde, who is the Union Minister of State for Employment and Skill Development in Modi’s cabinet, had controversially said that his party, the BJP, was ‘here to change the Constitution.’

For Union Minister Hegde abusing is his own culture, this is unacceptable from Mr. Siddaramaiah. He should keep his temper low and apologize unconditionally for this behavior.

Dear SmR bhai.... Topic kya chal raha aur aap kya topic per baath kar rahe ho.... You are discussing more about list on Hegde's comments against Siddu's behavioural issues . Don't deviate. Stick to Siddu's behaviour. Here major issue you are discussing is about Ananth's Comment. Aur regarding Siddu's behaviour u have mentioned very less. Regarding Ananth Kumar comment, you can tell your grievances in that news column and you have every right for that.

Earlier on stage a women turn sidda's head upside down and given deep kiss in his rugged face. Gora Ananya. What people learn from such type of people decorated in highest position. I am not saying Westerners gave you the Internet(in fact they did but let it alone), I am saying the West gave it to you. The idea of the West is hard to explain to a bhakt like you. By the way, those Indians who control Silicon Valley arent Indians anymore and most of them hold American Passports.

I have seen the entire video of this woman talking the Ex CM Siddaramaish. When all were sitting and airing their grievances, why this woman all of a sudden holding mike in her hand and stood up, and started talking. In spite of repeated instruction by Siddu, to sit and talk, still this woman was standing up and talking. The language used by Ex CM Siddaramaish. is really rude but prevention is better than cure. For safety and security reason, pulling a mike from the lady, who was standing and talking, is right or wrong; only Siddu will know it.

I do not know, what is rice bag mentality. But what Siddaramiah has done it right because when all were sitting down and talking, what made this woman to stand with mike in one hand, come close to Siddaramiah and to speak in a hysterical manner. Safety is important.
