Mangaluru: St Aloysius College Higher Primary School celebrates Republic Day

Mangaluru, Jan 31: St Aloysius College Higher Primary School celebrated its 70th Republic Day to commemorate the date when the constitution of India came into effect.

The chief guest Joyce D'Silva, former teacher of the school hoisted the National Flag along with the other dignitaries.

The National Anthem was sung with due reverence. In her message she said, "Being an Indian citizen, we are fully responsible for our country. We should not let go easily the priceless sacrifices of our freedom fighters and make this country a slave country again under corruption, illiteracy, inequality and other social discrimination."

The cultural programme that included patriotic songs, dances were a feast to the eyes.



Numan, Dion and Reesh compered the programme.

The significance of the day was expressed by Rishon Nazareth.

The headmistress Philomena Lewis, vice president of the PTA Rekha Fernandes were present.

A large number of parents witnessed the programme.
