Bengaluru: All 71 staff of police station transferred - constable dies of heart attack

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Feb 2: All the 71 staff members, including the inspector of Kumaraswamy Layout police station of the city, have been given transfer orders.

This police station was in the news recently for several issues like assault on the lady who came to file a complaint, stealing of rifles and lack of coordination between the inspector and the staff.

Head constable of this police station, Nadaf, who was on leave, died of heart attack after hearing the news of his transfer.

An order of transferring all the 71 staff at a time, which is the first time in the history of the state and probably the country, was given by T Sunil Kumar, city police commissioner on Friday, February 1.

Referring to the sudden transfer of the police personnel, Annamalai, deputy commissioner of police, south division, said, "A proposal was sent to the city police commissioner to transfer 71 personnel of Kumaraswamy Layout police station, excepting the police sub-inspector, in order to form discipline and bring the system under control as this police station reported many incidents, which were not in line with the rules and regulations of law. Accordingly, the city police commissioner has sent an order asking to transfer all the 71 personnel."

Annamalai is a great officer who was in Mangalore udupi in the past. Good job in cleaning the mess and transfers. Heart attacks and death in hearing transfers of luxury positions is common and hard to digest which has caused shock for the police men . RIP his soul. My prayers for his family
