Bengaluru, Feb 2: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s claim that arrest of of underworld don Ravi Poojary is the achievement of coalition government, has become a topic of ridicule for the BJP.
BJP Karnataka took a dig at the CM on twitter, “CM H D Kumaraswamy claiming credit for arrest of criminal Ravi Poojari by West African police is like H D Devegowda claiming credits for killing of Bin Laden by US. Wake up and first show some guts to stop the crime in Karnataka. Governing a state isn’t like producing movies.”
BJP has challenged the CM to arrest Kampli MLA Ganesh who is absconding after assaulting Hosapete MLA Anand Singh.
Congress MLAs had stayed in Eagle resort in Bidadi to show their unity. They had held a party to celebrate meeting of legislative party held under the leadership of former CM Siddaramaiah. As there were heated arguments in the party, MLA Ganesh who was annoyed had hit Anand Singh with a bottle. Anand Singh who was seriously injured on the face is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Ganesh had fled soon after the assault. Policemen are on a look out for him since the last fourteen days.
