Mumbai, Feb 4: Chinnara Bimba organization sponsored by Kannada and cultural directorate of the Karnataka state government held its sixteenth children’s festival, scholarship programme and cultural talent competitions at Kurla east on Sunday morning February 3.
Vijayavani Kannada daily newspaper editor K N Channegowda inaugurated the programme.
Regency group of hotels managing director Jayarama N Shetty presided over the programme. Kannada development authority president Professor S G Siddaramaiah was the chief guest. Bunts Sangha Mumbai ladies wing joint secretary Manorama N B Shetty, young entrepreneur Ashok Shetty Permude, Kala Jagathu founder Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty, founder of Chinnara Bimba and journalist Prakash B Bhandary, Renuka P Bhandary and Chinnara Bimba president Naina P Bhandary were on the dais.
Surendra Kumar welcomed and said in his introductory address that Chinnara Bimba is indulged in inculcating values among children and making them model citizens.
Guests presented prizes to winners of competitions and congratulated them. Prakhyat Shetty and Janavi Shetty compered the programme. Dr Poornima S Shetty conducted competitions and proposed the vote of thanks. Different talent competitions and cultural programmes were held on the occasion.
