Mangaluru: Mata Amritanandamayi to visit city on March 8 & 9

Mangaluru, Feb  6: Renowned spiritual Guru, Mata Amritanandamayi, who has lacs of followers all over the country and abroad, will take part in the celebrations being organized at her Math's Brahmasthana here and provide an opportunity to the people of the city to have her Darshan and invoke her blessings. Two programmes, 'Amrita Sangama - 2019' and 'Brahmasthana Mahotsava' will be held during her visit.

The programme is being arranged in the ground of Amrita Vidyalaya near Sultan Battery here. Thousands of her devotees are expected to come together at the programme from the state, other states and different nations. On both days, various programmes including pujas, oblations and other religious programmes are being arranged from dawn to dusk.

A general meeting of the devotees of the celebrated saint in connection with preparations for her visit to the city will be held on February 10 at the hall of Amrita Vidyalaya here on February 10. Prasad Raj Kanchan, president of Mata Amritanandamayi Seva Samiti, said that Mahaganapathi Homa will be performed at 6 am that day followed by Mrityunjaya Homa at 9 am. The meeting will be held at 11 am, he added.
