Kundapur, Jan 28: Columbia Asia Hospitals Private Limited will be conducting an exclusive cardiac screening camp at Ramakrishna Nursing Home here from Thursday January 29 to Saturday January 31.  The camp aims at offering complete consultation on issues, causes, symptoms, treatment and preventive measures on matters related to the heart. 
 
A medical team headed by Dr Prabhakar Shetty, internationally renowned cardiologist and chief of the department of cardiology of Columbia Asia Referral Hospital, Bangalore, will be examining, diagnosing and identifying cardiac problems along with providing complete medical solutions.  The preliminary investigation includes blood-sugar test, blood pressure, ECG, lipid profile and serum creatinine from Thursday January 29 to Friday January 30.  Final screening includes consultation with the cardiologist and Echo / TMT will be done, if required on Saturday January 31.
 
The special camp is advisable for people above 35 years of age, with a family history of heart disease, for people leading sedentary lifestyles or if an immediate family member suffers from diabetes or hypertension.
