Mumbai, Feb 2: The Mogaveera Vyavasthapaka Mandali presented a live musical concert Rock with Rahul Vaidya and Prajakta Shukre. This was a two-day event held at Sri Shanmukhananda Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi auditorium, Kings Circle, Mumbai on Friday January 30 and Saturday January 31. Rahul and Prajakta really rocked the full-house auditorium with the melodies tunes. The “Meri Ma” song literally brought tears in the eyes of the audience. VIP entertained the audience with his hilarious comedy. The kids jumped on to the stage for the “Rock On” finale. The audience was enjoying every moment of the show.
This event was a fund raiser programme for Mandali’s Vision 2010 projects. Vision 2010 project is constructing a new building for junior, degree and professional colleges at its current campus at Veera Desai Road, Andheri.
The chief guest for event on January 30 was Dr N V Hegde, president NITTE education trust, Mangalore. The guests of honour were M Narendra, executive director, Bank of India, Mumbai, Gul Lalwani, member, Million Dollar Round Table, USA.
Premal Andar, principal, Ujwala Kulkarni, assistant headmistress and Manjula Menon, assistant headmistress of MVM’s Swami Muktananda High School were felicitated for their exemplary service to the school.
The chief guest for event on January 31 was Dr G. Shankar, managing trustee of G Shankar Family Trust and Rajyotsava awardee. Guests of honour were Ganesh Hosabettu, Mayor, Mangalore City Corporation and A Bhagat, chairman and managing director, Quadricon Pvt. Ltd.
Dr G Shankar and Ganesh Hosabettu were felicitated on this occasion.
The Mogaveera Vyavasthapaka Mandali is a 107-year-old charitable institution with a distinguishing record in education and community welfare. The Mandali has been running a Maharashtra SSC board English medium school for the last 30 years. It has also started MVM junior college of commerce from this academic year. The Mandali also runs various community welfare schemes like educational scholarship grants and loans, poverty relief, medical relief and other such schemes.
