Udupi, Feb 21: Nisha James has been appointed as superintendent of police of the district. SP Laxman Nimbargi has been transferred.
The transfer was made by the government in a communication dated February 20.
Nisha James, was commandant, 4th Battalion, KSRP, Bengaluru till now.

Nisha James is a former student of the BA (Honours) and MA courses in English Literature at Delhi University’s Lady Shri Ram College.
She had secured the 179th rank out of 998 selections made through the 2012 civil service exam.
Laxman Nimbargi has been transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as superintendent of police, wireless, Bengaluru.
