Amit Shah slams Congress for 'politicising' Pulwama

Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh), Feb 21 (IANS): BJP president Amit Shah on Thursday slammed the Congress "politicizing" the Pulawama terror attack and raising doubts about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to national security.

Holding that Modi government gave top priority to national security during last five years, he said the opposition party's allegations would have no impact on people who trust the Prime Minister.

Shah said when the unfortunate incident happened, Modi was in a programme and Congress was trying to make it an issue.

He was apparently reacting to Congress leader Randeep Surjewala's allegation that Modi was shooting a documentary in the Corbett National Park on the day of the Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF troopers were killed by a suicide bomber, and continued filming even after news of the terror attack emerged.

The BJP president was addressing a public meeting in this Andhra town to launch 'Labharthi Sampark Abhiyan', a nationwide campaign to contact over 22 crore beneficiaries of BJP government's programmes.

The BJP chief asked Congress not to teach patriotism to the BJP, alleging that the opposition party even took support of terrorism to remove Modi.

He said the Congress had no moral right to question Modi or the BJP as it was the Congress which termed the Army 'galli ka goonda', raised doubts over the 2016 surgical strikes and whose leader Navjot Singh Sidhu embraced the Pakistani Army chief.

He also alleged that the former Congress President (Sonia Gandhi) cried over the death of terrorists and its present President (Rahul Gandhi) visited Jawaharlal Nehru University to praise those who raised "anti-India slogans".

Amit Shah said the entire country was standing like a rock behind the families of the martyred soldiers. He said the Prime Minister had given free hand to the Army to decide time and place to give a befitting reply to terroris.

He also held former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru responsible for Kashmir problem remaining unresolved. "If Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had become the Prime Minister, there would have been no problem of Kashmir. Sardar Patel tackled Hyderabad which is today proudly a part of India," he said.

Dear Friends read the following it is from Greta Thunberg, a 16-year-old climate activist from Sweden to our Prime Minister Modi it is written on news "Dear Mr Modi, you need to take action now against the climate crisis, not just talking about it because if you keep going on like this, doing business as usual, and just talking about and bragging about the little victories, you are going to fail. And if you fail, you are going to be seen as one of the worst villains in human history in the future. And you don't want that," said the young climate activist who has been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome.

The biggest politicizing matter BJP did was 'Ram Mandir building'. Despite having majority in both the houses no Ram Mandir built in five years. All they said was that they are awaiting court order. Why weren't the 'Kar Sevaks' not restrained when Babri Masjid was pulled down citing court order ?

It posed as a party of Hindus, it instilled fear in Indian Hindus' minds that Muslims and Christians are converting Hindus in huge numbers. Some day Hindus will be a minority in India. Please declare the census that showing those two communities numbers dwindling or Hindu population exploding since 2014 ???
