Kalkura Releases 'Kannada Kairali' Special Issue during Mumbai – Kasargod Utsaa

Mumbai, Feb 2: Karnataka Book Authority member Pradeep Kumar Kalkura released the special issue of 'Kannada Kairali' monthly recently at a function, Mumbai – Kasargod Utsav, held at Sheetal Nagar, Mira Road (East) here.  The programme was jointly organized by 'Kannada Kairali' monthly journal and the  metro's Kasargod Mitra Balaga.

The programme was presided  by Karnataka legislative council speaker Veeranna Mattikatti.



Karnataka women and child development minister P M Narendraswamy,  Rajya Sabha deputy chairman K Rehman Khan and Karnataka additional director general of police (ADGP) K V R Tagore were present at the dais.

Maharastra legislative council member Muzaffer Hussain, Tonse Jayakrishna A Shetty, Mohsin Hyder, Balakrishna P Bhandary, Chandrakant Vaidya, Mohammed Ibrahim Kulavoor, Aziz Maniyoor, Sankabail Satish Adapa and others were present. 

Kasargod social worker Metro Mohammed Haji, metro's Seva Dal activist Narayan Vittal and M G Melanta Mangalore were felicitated while Vijay Kumar Shetty of Kala Jagattu was honoured for bagging the Karnataka Rajyotsav award. Ankita R Rai was honoured for her unique talent.
 
Mumbai Kasargod Mitra Balaga convener Sankabail Manjunat Adapa, Mumbai regional committee president Mahabala Samani, Reception Committee honorary president Devdas Vittal, 'Kannada Kairali' monthly editor Abdul Rehman Subbayyakatte, executive editor Ravi Naikapu, Mumbai – Kasargod Utsav committee president S Jagannat Society and others were  present on the occasion.
