Mangaluru, Feb 22: On account of 77th birth anniversary of Konkani singing legend late Wilfy Rebimbus, like in the past, this year too United Youngsters along with Wilfy Rebimbus family, is organising full-fledged Wilfy Nite on April 28 at Town Hall in city.

Wilfy’s birthday falls on April 2. As it is in lent season, the event will be held next Sunday of Easter.

This will be 279th Wilfy's musical nite.

"It is that time of the year when Konkani music lovers await eagerly for a new treat. Rebimbus family, along with United Youngsters, has come again with a musical show during the birth month of Wilfy Rebimbus to remember him," says United Youngsters in a press note to Daijiworld.

“Nine years from the sad demise of the legend, we have never ceased to give a quality musical show. Time and again we have come up with new innovations, Naman Tuka Avoiponna, Mahima Devachim, Gayan Fest and on the occasion of 75th birthday of the legend, a show depicting his entire life through his songs. This unique show had received a great appreciation from the crowd. The packed audience, who witnessed the event, had taken home fond memories of the songs performed and are still discussing its uniqueness in all aspects,” adds the press note.

It is gathered that, this year’s show also promises to be a unique one in a kind of its own. It will include a mixture of Wilfy’s variety of songs. These numbers will be performed by Wilfy’s own legendary artistes and many young talented singers.

Family of Wilfy Rebimbus has urged all fans to mark the event, Sunday, 28 April 2019 at 5 pm at Town Hall for a wonderful evening of songs, music and dance.

The entry will be free.
