Udupi: 15 singers to battle for 'Voice of Karavali’ title on Feb 24

Udupi, Feb 22: The famous coastal singing reality show ‘Voice of Karavali - 2019, Season -3’ is all set for final battle. The hunt for best voice among top 15 emerging singers will begin on February 24 at 6 pm at Nirmala High School campus, Brahmavar.

Voice of Karavali is one of the successful singing reality shows in coastal belt, which is organised by Rotary Brahmavar in association with Being Social and Anjali Water Park. 

The top 15 contestants are Vishwatha Bhat from Kuthpady, Anjana Suresh from Mangaluru, Deepika Ballal, Madhushri Kediyur, Sri Lakshmi Bharadhwaj from Moodabidri, Sudheer Shetty from Kokkarne, Megha Pai from Mangaluru, Supritha U B from Udupi, V P Shrihari Holla from Kundapura, Vaishnavi Bhat from Karkala, Sahana Nayak from Kokkarne, Poornima Pai Naykanakatte from Byndoor, Deeksha Basrur, Bhavya Shree Barkur and Greeshma Kateel.

Known for his versatile singing, Kannada music director from Udupi, Yashwanth Acharya will judge the show. He is recognized at the national level and conferred with many awards for his solo singing.

He rendered his voice to numerous songs as a playback singer and composed songs for movies as well. He is trained in classical music; Yashwanth was part of many singing reality shows as a contestant. He was the winner of “Yede Thumbi Haaduvenu, season 2”. He is presently serving as a Sanskrit teacher. He even teaches classical music to hundreds of students.

Another well known music director, cinematographer and producer from Karkala, Sunad Gowtham will also judge the show. Gowtham owns Suninada Digital Audio Studio in Karkala. He composed the hit song "Eega Thaane Jaariyagide" from the Movie "Ananthu V/s Nusrath".

R B S Ram Shetty, Harady is selected for Rotary Brahmavar person of the year award. He is a famous theatre artiste, director, teacher and sports trainer. He will be felicitated on the occasion for his remarkable achievements.

Well known RJ, VJ, anchor Avinash Kamath will add more colour to the show with his spontaneous hosting style.

Cash prizes for first five winners and special prizes for participants:

The winners and participants will be awarded cash, trophies and coins.

First prize - Rs 15,000 cash, permanent trophy and silver coin

Second prize -Rs 10,000 cash, permanent trophy and silver coin

Third prize - Rs 5,000 cash, permanent trophy and silver coin

Fourth prize - Rs 3000 cash, permanent trophy and silver coin

Fifth prize- Rs 2000 cash, permanent trophy and silver Coin

Each contestant of the finale will be awarded with cash, silver coin. Several attractive rewards will be given for audience.

About Rotary Brahmavar

Rotary Club Brahmavar was established in 1973, and turned 46 recently. Rotary Club Brahmavar’s main goal is social service, creating quality leadership and providing financial support to the needy. It is continuing its noble work of providing free mental health awareness and treatment for the poor.

Rotary through its activities shows its social commitment. In 2017-18, it organised sports event for promoting youth and state level short film competition on ‘road safety’. The club is also providing financial support for the students and needy.
