Kashmiri separatist, JKLF chief Yaseen Malik detained in J&K

Srinagar, Feb 23 (PTI): Kashmiri separatist and JKLF chief Yasin Malik was detained by the police amid indications of a wider crackdown on separatists in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

The cops apprehended him from his Maisuma residence here. He reportedly has been taken to the Kothibagh Police Station.
Police and paramilitary forces have been put on high alert but there was no confirmation about any more detentions.

Malik’s detention comes ahead of a crucial hearing on Article 35-A in Supreme Court which is likely to take place on Monday (February 25). The article, incorporated into the Indian Constitution in 1954, grants special rights and privileges to the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir.

The action comes eight days after an audacious terror attack on a convoy in Pulwama district in which 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives.

Just stop beating around the bush and tell me what the problem is!
Lynching was done for polarisation. You can catch 3 kg beef, kill innocents, but not 350 kg RDX. Isn’t Modi informed by security agencies?
There are 8 lakh security forces are stationed permanently in Kashmir Valley. It won't be possible to strike such precise terror operation without someone within forces collaborated.

It is time for Prime Minister Modi government held accountable for Pulwama attack. The national security can't be compromised in the hands of intelligence chief bureau Ajit Doval who is also member Vivekananda Foundation which sister organization of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

It is disgusting that this man has been left alive, thanks to India's stupid and idiotic politicians irrespective of party. This man is responsible for the many deaths of our valiant armed forces when he had incited the youths in the past to fight against our nation. Yet politician after politician has failed to punish this man for his separatist views.

Even today he calls himself a separatist kashmiri demanding freedom from India but no action is taken. Whereas, the poor innocent social workers in Maharashtra who just called themselves urbannaxals to help the adivasis for their rights are put through a tortures life as if they have committed severe crimes.

Our media portrays these social workers as anti-nationals and harassing them and their families by printing unwanted articles. Why not print about Yasin Malik's past life and see what he had done. If anyone gives separatist views, he or she should be punished by banishing them to an island jail far away in the Indian ocean.
