Truth is my defence, will tell my story to court: Priya Ramani after getting bail

New Delhi, Feb 25 (IT): Journalist Priya Ramani who has accused former Union minister MJ Akbar of sexual harassment on Monday said "truth is her defence" and she will tell story to the court soon.

Ramani was speaking to journalists after she was granted bail by Delhi's Patiala House Court today in connection with the criminal defamation case filed against her by MJ Akbar. She said, "The next date when they will frame the charges against me is April 10. After that it will be my turn to tell my story. The truth is my defence."

While granting bail to Priya Ramani, the Patiala House Court asked her to sign a personal bond Rs 10,000.

The case will come up for hearing on March 8.

MJ Akbar was forced to resign as MoS for External Affairs after more than 15 women accused him of sexual harassment.
