Will holy dip in Ganga wash away your sins: Mayawati asks PM Modi

New Delhi, Feb 25 (IT): Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati asked if Prime Minister Narendra Modi's holy dip in the Ganga river will wash away his sins of "poll promises, treachery and other wrong doings".

"Will a 'SHAHI' dip in Sangam by PM Modi be able to wash sins of reneging poll promises, treachery and other state wrongs?," Mayawati asked on Twitter, a day after PM Narendra Modi visited Prayagraj to participate in the Kumbh Mela.

On Sunday, PM Modi visited Prayagraj and took a dip at the "sangam" or the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers.

It is believed that taking a holy dip at the meeting point, also known as "shahi snann", washes away all the sins a person commits in his/her lifetime.

BSP chief Mayawati said people will not forgive the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government at the Centre for its "authoritarian rule".

"[It is] not possible for people to forgive BJP easily for making their life miserable through deeds of Notebandi, GST, Vengeance, Casteism, Communal and Authoritarian rule," Mayawati said in her tweet.

Mayawati also criticised PM Modi over the Centre's Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. She said the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme of giving Rs 500 per month to famers "maybe useful for labourers but not helpful for farmers who wants remunerative price of their produce which BJP govt has failed to ensure".

"Modi govt should differentiate between farmers and landless labourers, his Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme of Rs 500 per month may be useful for labourers but not helpful for farmers who wants remunerative price of their produce which BJP govt has failed to ensure. This is a failure," she said.

During the five-year tenure of Mayawati, over Rs 40,000 crore were misappropriated in schemes ranging from Eco parks to the NRHM. As per the government's estimates, the total worth of scams during the BSP rule is over Rs 40,000 crore, which is almost equal to the annual outlay for the state during 2011 - 2012 and is nearly one-fourth of the state's annual budget of Rs 1.89 Lakh crore.

The major scams which had allegedly taken place during the Mayawati regime and are under the SP government's scanner are NRHM scam, toilet scam, elephant statues scam, Noida land scam, High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) tender scam, seed scam, etc. Investigations and inquiries are under way in each of these scams and in 50% of the cases, arrests have also been made leaving hardly any scope of doubt over allegations of misappropriation. All this hype about the scams is being cooked up only to cover-up the government's failure in controlling the crime situation in the state.

You should know clearly that SINS are not washed by taking baths or visiting holy places........God will pardon the sins done, by not following the guide lines of god...

If we have done any wrong to other people by abusing them,,stealing their money....hitting /beating others.....causing losses or hardships to them.. such sins can be pardoned by ONLY by those people who are the victims of such sins

Do not think that ...it is easy to wash the sins done thru goondagiri..rowdy’s State terrors.......read the holy books for better knowledge....I have seen many swamys telling that the CURSES OF. INNOCENT PEOPLE WILL. NOT GO WASTE
