Mangaluru Feb 26: Member of Parliament (MP) Nalin Kumar Kateel said that he will destroy the tollgate if remaining work of Pumpwell flyover is not completed before the meeting of ministry of road transport pertaining to highway problems.

He was speaking during the district development coordination and in-charge committee meeting at Zilla Panchayat on Monday, February 25.

“The contractors should make arrangements for smooth flow of traffic at Pumpwell until the flyover gets completed, or I will destroy the tollgate. The contractors or I should go to jail,” Nalin warned.

"The work of Thokkottu flyover is at final stage and Pumpwell flyover work is in progress. Contractors should ensure smooth functioning of traffic at Pumpwell or else tollgate which generates income will face problems,” said Nalin.

Deputy commissioner Sasikanth Senthil, Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr Selvamani and others were present.
