Rahul, Kejriwal praise IAF pilots for crossing LoC

New Delhi, Feb 26 (IANS): Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday praised the pilots of the Indian Air Force (IAF) following reports that they crossed the Line of Control (LoC) with their fighter jets and returned after dropping a payload in Pakistan.

"I salute the pilots of the IAF," Gandhi tweeted.

Kejriwal in a tweet said: "I salute the bravery of Indian Air Force pilots who have made us proud by striking terror targets in Pakistan."

Pakistan claimed on Tuesday that IAF fighter jets crossed the LoC and returned after the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) scrambled war planes.

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Asif Ghafoor in a tweet confirmed that the jets dropped in the payload near Balakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

    Dear, Pulwama attack was really a bad one .. we agree.. but many such incidents have taken place in India before and the then govt had not taken any action instead chose to talk.. Now yes there was a attack and it was th failure of our intelegence.. and some times it happens... but the answer to that attack was really great one... have any Congi ruler acted so swiftly.... yea its the action of IAF... but without the NOD of our PM nothing is possible... and you should know that.... just for the sake of hating Modi and BJp dont comment foolishly...

    Great fighting skill and courage demonstrated by Indian Air force pilots and achieving the unachievable. My salute to those brave heart pilots who went into the unknown territory knowing that they might not come back ever again, but due to the great culture of Indian armed forces and selecting the best of the best as the air force pilots it was done without any losses at our end.... Great feat for our pilots and armed forces..
