Write more about patriotism, Delhi Speaker urges poets

New Delhi, Feb 27 (IANS): Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel on Wednesday appealed to poets and writers to create more literature on patriotism and nationalism to inculcate these feelings in the society at large.

While releasing a collection of poems "Chetana Ke Swar", authored by Kumar Hridayesh, Goel said: "Writers and poets are the torch-bearers of the society and people trust and follow their written words in their day to day life."

The Speaker said that besides creating literature on patriotism and nationalism, the writers should also write about human and moral values, unity and diversity and communal harmony.

They should also create literature on forest, environment, animals, birds, earth and energy to give a direction to the society to keep ecological balance, he said.
