Cold Thursday morning in Delhi


New Delhi, Feb 28 (IANS): It was a cold morning in the national capital on Thursday with the minimum temperature recorded at 6.8 degrees Celsius, six notches below the season's average, the weather office said.

"Shallow fog enveloped the city in the morning. The day is expected to remain clear with no chances of rainfall. The fog is likely to return later in the evening," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 97 per cent.

The day's maximum temperature is expected to hover around 21 degrees Celsius.

Wednesday's maximum temperature settled at 20 degrees Celsius, six notches above the season's average while the minimum was recorded at 9.5 degrees Celsius, three degree below he season's average.
