Mangaluru, Feb 28: District in-charge minister U T Khader on Thursday, February 28 said that he was not contesting for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing media here Khader said, “The party high command will finalise the candidates for the upcoming elections. The process in on for the selection of candidates, but party has not yet finalised the same. We abide by the decision of the party high command over selection.
"Leaders like Janardhana Poojary, Oscar Fernandes, and Dr Veerappa Moily have worked without any bias of religion, caste and creed and are role models for us. Even Ramanath Rai, and Vinay Kumar Sorake walked in their footsteps,” he said.
Speaking on sea erosion wall construction work, he said, “The construction of walls in the Someshwara - Mukkachery - Ucchila - Talapady stretch will commence from March 1.”
