Sullia: I am looking forward to take on big leaders - Sadananda Gowda

Sullia, Mar 3: "I have no concrete information whether JD(S) national president, H D Deve Gowda, will contest from Bengaluru (north) constituency. So far, my fights have normally been against lower level leaders. I am enthusiastically looking forward to taking on big leaders now," said union minister, D V Sadananda Gowda.

He gave this response when media persons questioned him about the information that former Prime Minister, H D Deve Gowda, has been considering the prospects of fighting the coming parliamentary election from Bengaluru (north) constituency.

When he was asked on the constituency of his choice for contesting this time, Gowda said that Bengaluru (north) constituency which he now represents has about 30 lac voters this time and by no means this is a small constituency. "I have tried my best to mitigate the problems of my constituency. At the same time, I will be committed to decision my party might take on this issue," he explained. He also exuded confidence that united opposition cannot stop BJP's march and the JD(S) - Congress coalition in the state will in no way hinder the progress of his party.

Gowda charged the administration of wholly being responsible for the sand problem in the district. "Sand extraction is under the control of the administrative machinery. Therefore, people of the district have been suffering injustice. "How can we set a problem right if the administrators themselves contribute to complicating the problems?" he wondered.

Sadananda Gowda said that the Indian security forces have demolished terror camps across the border, and that the stance taken by the Prime Minister and steps initiated by the army have proved the capacity of India. He added that India has also achieved diplomatic success and Pakistan, which has failed to regulate terrorism, has suffered loss of face.
