Chitradurga, Mar 4: “Only because Congress MLA Umesh Jadhav has resigned does not mean that other Congress MLAs will also follow suit. There is no harm to the Congress party because of the resignation of Umesh Jadhav. If what Yeddyurappa says would happen, he would have been CM quite long ago,” ridiculed labour minister Venkataramanappa taking a dig at the BJP.

Speaking to the media, the minister said, “BJP is going around making false propaganda that many unsatisfied Congress MLAs will join their party. They do not have any other work.

“Public will teach a good lesson to people who have changed their allegiance from one party to another. People will defect to parties on which they have regards. Umesh Jadhav has resigned when four and a half years are still left for the completion of the present term. People have to understand this fact,” added Venkataramanappa.

The labour minister further taunted BJP by saying, “It is just a dream that Congress MLAs will join BJP. Yeddyurappa’s dream will never come true. If things would have turned out as the way Yeddyurappa says, he would have been the CM long ago. In addition, he would not have been dethroned within three years of becoming CM.”

Reacting to the issue of the fight between MLAs Ganesh and Anand Singh, Venkataramanappa said, “Both of them are good friends. They have fought for some personal reason. Children of the same mother, brothers, husband and wife also quarrel sometime. These family quarrels get resolved own its own. Similarly, the difference between these two MLAs also will become alright.”
