Mangaluru, Mar 5: District Congress spokesperson A C Vinayaraj slammed MP Nalin Kumar Kateel for stealing credit for development works done by the UPA government.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, March 5, Vinayaraj termed the MP’s claim as election gimmick and said he has done nothing during his term.

“The decision to construct Kulai jetty was taken during the term of UPA government and so was the link road construction and road widening of Kulshekar-Karkala stretch. Now the MP is taking credit for the development works initiated by UPA government to misguide people and win their confidence. The MP should produce documents to justify the development he claims to have done,” he demanded.

"The upgrading of railway station is not yet started and this was promised by Nalin Kumar Kateel. The MP did not do anything pertaining to IT park development in Mudipu which was the project taken up by UPA government,” blamed A C Vinayaraj.

District youth Congress president Mithun Rai, Vishwas Kumar Das and others were present.

Anything coming from 'Congress' is not taken seriously these days. So does not matter. Instead of Cooperating with the MP they are criticising. In any case my vote is for Nalin if he contests.

He is taking credit because he wants another term. We are illiterate so don't blame debit credit. Mangalore deserves this? We don't have well educated decent people to be our lawmakers and leaders?
