Mangaluru: Students of SIT bag first prize in national level IT quiz

Mangaluru, Mar 19: Final year students Rakshith Holla and Prasanna J S of the department of Computer Science and Engineering of Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT) won the first prize in the 4th Alan Turing Computer Society of India (CSI) national level student quiz 2019, organized by CSI Coimbatore chapter on March 16.

The quiz had three rounds and the finals were held at Coimbatore where in a total of 1,150 students participated all over India.

The students were guided by CSI, SIT chapter coordinator Mohan K, associate professor, department CS & E and coordinated by Dr Shivakumar G S, professor and head, department CS & E.

CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor, Srinivas University and president, A Shama Rao Foundation, Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor, Srinivas University and vice president A Shama Rao Foundation and Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal of the college congratulated the students on their well-deserved success that has been exceptional.
