Sumalatha files her nomination from Mandya Lok Sabha constituency

Daijiworld Media Network – Mandya (AM)

Mandya, Mar 20: Sumalatha Ambareesh, filed her nomination papers as an independent candidate from Mandya Lok Sabha constituency on Wednesday, March 20.

Sumalatha, wife of late Congress leader M H Ambareesh, held a road show till DC's office where she filed her nomination. Many Sandalwood stars including Darshan, Yash, Doddanna and producer Rockline Venkatesh accompanied Sumalatha. Late Ambareesh's fans held a bike rally in Mandya ahead of Sumalatha's nomination.

Earlier, in a press conference attended by Sandalwood actors and producers, Sumalatha Ambareesh had announced that she would contest as independent candidate from Mandya Lok Sabha constituency.

Chief Minister HD Kumawaswamy's son, Nikhil Kumawaswamy's candidacy from Mandya has disgruntled the Congress party workers and former JDS leaders. Under the seat-sharing pact between the Janata Dal (Secular) and the Congress, the Mandya constituency has gone to the JD(S) and the Congress party had declined to support Sumalatha's candidacy for Mandya.

    People,

Appa Maga schemed and defeated Sidda in Chamundeshwari in 2018....Sidda will return the favour to Mommaga in Mandya in 2019...

What goes up will come down...

Sumalatha will win only if BJP will support her and transfer 2.5 Lakh votes they received during last election...which is difficult for a political party to do...

If they will not do anything that is secondary.

If a person can become PM of the country within a day from his mother's death, If a man can contest election within 6 months of his wife's death. Why can't women?

This is 21st century, real women power!!! Don't try to shed crocodile tears..

She has got many reasons for not to contest.

She was not in to politics earlier

Congress is not fielding any candidate from that constituency due to seat sharing with JD

Ambareesh had failed to do his duty, he was like Govinda in Mumbai who was least bothered about constituency but enjoying celebrity status.

If Congress had respected her Husband and given seat earlier then she should have waited patiently instead of spoiling votes.
