It is better to appoint one person to operate the lift in every building and apartment. Most of the lift have duplicate parts and many places no maintenance properly.

this is the 2nd child in one year in Mangalore. Earlier we had one boy in Vas Lane who was dead in the lift. The building mgmt. should see to it that children do not use the lift without elders accompanying them. The security should be held responsible.

Instead of closed lift cars, open lift car should be installed. Even if there is power failure or any other cause, person can call someone.

    RIP, so sad.

Most of the builders are installing non branded locally manufactured lifts in building to cost control, even for elders difficult to operate those lifts.
