'I am a Victim of Political Conspiracy' - Nirmala Venkatesh

Daijiworld Media Network

Bangalore, Mar 2:  Nirmala Venkatesh who was sacked by the Union Government from the post of member, National Commission for Women has lashed out by stating that she is a victim of political conspiracy.

Nirmala Venkatesh, member of the NCW who is also a Member of Legislative Council from the Congress party had kick started a major controversy when she in her report of the Mangalore incident had blamed the pub for the incident in which members of the Shriram Sena had assaulted some women.

Union Mininster, Renuka Chaudhary had taken serious note of the incident and had stated that action would be taken against her. On Friday, an order sacking Nirmala was issued by the Union Government.

Addressing media persons in Bangalore on Monday, Nirmala proclaimed that her clean image was being tainted by the government and she was deeply hurt about it. I am hurt and shocked and I am 100 per cent sure that I have been made a victim of political conspiracy, she said. Several attempts by journalists to force her to reveal the names of those ministers who had allegedly hatched a political conspiracy were unsuccessful. Niramala said that she did not wish to take any names at this stage.

She however took on the National Commission for Women and blamed them for deliberately hiding her report in connection with the Mangalore incident. She said that she had sent the report on time, but for some strange reason the NCW decided not to make it public. For some reason or the other, the NCW kept telling the media that I had not sent the report. I fail to understand the logic behind it, she also added.

Regarding the rejection of her report, she said that she stuck by her report and was not planning on changing her stance. However I will not let my efforts go waste and I stand by the report. I will approach the Supreme Court of India challenging the rejection of my report.

Nirmala also announced that she had quit the Congress party formally. The turn of events have upset me no end and I don’t feel like remaining in this party she added. The Congress today has lost a honest and hard worker, she also added. On her future plans, she said that she has not decided anything as yet. I have not taken any decision to join the BJP as yet, Nirmala Venkatesh also added.

Mr. Stevi, Sharjah, You are correct. The traders are fully engaged in illegal activities. The cooking oil, the necessary commodities all kala berake (mixing) etc., etc., Can anybody have business without lies? As much Lies, Lies over lies as much business, business over business. Does all those big, big business people without lies and without indulging in illegal activities became rich? If you are caught corrupt administrators, lawyers, law enforcement people and goondas the case is finished.

Nirmala Venkatesh did not become political victim but she deserves this action because she herself engaged in Aa bail mujhe maar, in Konkani vaten vetelaya vaaga maka aavn ka ga. If bjp was in power and she provides negative report they will also sack her from ncw member. Very simple.

Your quitting from the party is a gain for the Congress party and if you are going to join the BJP, best of luck. Because they will be routed in the next elections. If only Gowda and the Congress come together, then BJP will surely be routed.

To hold any office of importance one needs the qualities of prudence, a clear vision and purpose. This woman not only has lost sight of her purpose for being there in NCW, but also stubbornly clings to the material perks, power and fame that go with it! Congress is better without such social climbers with just one aim- to remain in the limelight and gain power.

Good riddance for bad rubbish! Women of Mangalore should heave a sigh of relief because the one hope for justice that betrayed them in the hour of need has just been discarded out of the scene. Against the back of Hooliganism spreading against women in Bangalore and the Karnataka CM sanctioning Rs. 130 crore in the budget for the use of temples and appearing on the national media to call it a " farmer's budget',what can the people and women expect under these circumstances.

Venkatesh is right- Women, learn political Karate and kick the hypocrites out of power. Let the people assert their rights- remember, rulers can be changed by the power of your ballot, vote wisely, for your own welfare!

Mrs.Nirmala Venkatesh has been sacked from NCW. It is a good decision taken by the concerned authorities. She should have condemned for the attack of girls and ladies and should have recommended severe punishment to the culprits who are behind the such ugly incidence. Now let she examine her conscience and whther she has made a political statement for the subservient of her mentor.

Nirmala says she is congress woman in all her life. Whether you are a congress person is immaterial for the job you have been assigned to investigate Mangalore pub attack on girls. In your power and capacity you have not made any attempt to meet the girls who are the victims of this incident. Rather you had visited the goondas at prison and gave statement saying they are repentant.

When the entire Country was watching your report, you have made yourself and NCW a fool and laughing object. You are not the victim of conspiracy rather you have conspired against NCW and trying to be biased for your own selfish interest.. Now nobody is bothered to listen your music.

Nice suggestion Mr Guru. From now onwards please ask your women folk to stay indoors. If anything happens to them outside the house please then do not blame the government or the Police. Please stay at home and be safe.

Let us turn our country into another Somalia or another Swat valley. Let us forget the government, police, law and order and our fundamental rights. Let us hand these over the the moral police. Your logic is stay at home and be safe. Let us just find out if the rest of the country agrees to your logic. Jai Hind

Hello Charles D'Mello, Pangala... I totally agree with whatever you said.. It is the right of every individual to choose how they want to live. where they want to go etc etc But my Question to you is after choosing if something happens then who is responsible... Why the heck do you blame the goverment? Goverment cant provide police security to each and everyone of us.. if you want this to happen then join the police ... Coming to the pub incident... I dont know why the pub was opened at 3:30 in the afternoon.. when the licence of the pub is not legal then most of the things which was happening inside the pub was also illegal... Let us sit and drink in our house rather then going to PUB... JAI Hind .

Do the people/police/administrations know how many pubs are operating in Mangalore and all over Karnataka without proper license, permission and Haptha? Who keeps the security in Mangalore and other places except the star hotels? Why they did not cancel the licenses of all those Pubs? If the Police are not taking Haptha how they will feed politicians for transfers? In Karnataka from top to bottom without corruption a single file will never move and the recent incidence Mr. Sampangi bjp MLA caught red handed. I

n fact Nirmala Venkatesh deserves this action and should have been sacked earlier. If the excise department can cancel pub license with the influence of bjp why congress with the evidence for her partisan report cannot be sacked from the post? She was speaking positively before disembarking Mangalore after that she is speaking negatively. Reason - Firstly, she was naïve in what was going on in Mangalore. She asked arrested people why these girls have not come forward to file FIR against attackers.

Secondly, fear and terror was inflicted in the minds of citizens by the communal minded people and in such status how the girls will file FIR with the Police? Thirdly perhaps she sold herself in Karnataka with the Operation Kamala and may get party ticket to contest elections from bjp. Fourthly, she speaks that as if she is the only supreme NCW member.

Finally, if bjp was in power and appointing her to conduct inquiry and she submits negative report, bjp will also sack her as NCW member. Very simple.

Nirmala was Chairperson of NCW who is also a Member of Legislative Council from the Congress party, If her report was in favour of Congress it is OK and if her report is against PUB it is wrong for you guys. Warre Wa, Mangaloreans wake up. Be not Hindus, Muslims and Chrisitians or whatever religion you belong when it comes to our city. Say Rama Sena goondas are wrong, Pub culture is sin, Pink chaddi campaign is sin. Sending your own sisters and daughter to pub is sin. Through your reaction do not show to which religion you belong to. We all Mangaloreans belong to one happy fmaily.

If you lose your job today, it may be very difficult to find another job. But if you choose to quit your party today, you are rest assured of being welcomed by your rival party with open arms. Mrs Venkatesh, You have done the most common thing by blaming your present situation as a political conspiracy. As someone else suggested would you have written the same report if your daughter or a woman from your family was attacked?. You were not sent there to check on the licence of the pub and security arrangements. Is any pub allowed to maintain an armed security force in our country?. What can a few security guys do when a gang of goondas attack just like the horde of Ram Sena goondas did at Amnesia?.

Instead of meeting the victims and consoling them you visit the goondas in jail and offer your sympathies to them. Do you think that the entire nation is just stupid to digest your actions and your silly report. I think reading your report would make every woman's blood boil. Accepting your report would mean sending back our women way back into the medievel times, just as how the taleban would want them to be. Anyways you may soon get a ticket from the BJP to contest.......Your political career might be on the upswing.

A Fanatic Group attacked Good Time Partiers, then the Political Parties started politicising the Issues, then the Woman Commissioner puts Verbal Attacks on Pub LIcence, its security and provides consolation to the Criminal Attackers, then there is a Clash going on between the Ministry and Womens Commission. Ultimately to conclude it is nothing but Ego Clash and Clash of Arrogance. This Pub Attack and many several attacks on Women will all have a slow death.

OH so now we find that the fight is between two women- the MLC and the Union Minister- wait, both from the Congress. NCW has become a tool among politicians- how long will it be bfore the MLC moves over to another party as she is not wanted after her biased report. She was sent to investigate the incident she comes back with a report blaming the pub management, its great she did not check whether the bldg was legal, the road was proper etc. Just like so many things, reports are a whitewash the girls expected action and got nothing at all.

Realising your position and responsibility, you should have handled the report and findings with utmost care and perfection. It was a report the whole nation was waiting for and the outcome was a huge huge dissappointment specially for the women and men who were attacked in the pub including the ones watching the story and incident closely.
